The city of Watertown seeks a candidate for the Administrative Specialist – Benefits in the City Auditor’s Office. Under the general direction of the City Auditor this position will perform a high level of administrative support duties associated with the employee and retiree benefits programs.

Requirements:
Associate degree and a minimum of one year of professional experience
or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
Strong interpersonal, customer service, verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and, in particular, Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail
Must be able to maintain confidential and sensitive information
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
ability to maintain financial records, confidential records, and prepare reports
ability to work effectively under time constraints to meet enrollment deadlines and deadlines of the department
the ability to work independently and exercise judgment, and to contribute to a team effort in the department
