Admin Officer role with the Home Office, primarily expected to conduct Asylum Registration, Further Submission and Family & Human Rights tasks, all of which are case preparation. Public-facing work is fast-paced, interesting and varied; but can, at times be pressurised.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct Asylum Registration, Further Submission and Family & Human Rights tasks
Conduct checks on customers
Update systems
Interview customers
Scan documents
Enrol biometrics
Serve documentation
Review customer applications
Hold face to face conversations to capture relevant information
Identify safeguarding concerns
Record biometric data
Support the asylum screening process
Complete and issue relevant paperwork
Conduct visits to customers unable to be present at an SSC for biometric enrolment
Complete admin tasks essential to the customer application
Digitise documents
Take responsibility for moving/tracking passports
Represent Decision Enablement Services positively
Project a professional image to customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
Maintain customer service excellence
Requirements:
Must hold a valid passport
Must have lived in the UK for longer than 3 years
Must not have spent 6 months or longer outside the UK in the last 3 years
Must undertake Safeguarding training
Must be able to obtain CTC clearance and Basic DBS
Must be flexible and able to prioritise
Must be able to work Monday to Saturday, 8am - 7pm on a rota basis
Must not take annual leave during the 6-week training period
