Home Office - Admin Officer Job Description Admin Officer Location: Law Society House, 90-106 Victoria Street, BT1 3GN FULLY OFFICE BASED FOR TRAINING FIRST 6 WEEKS. HYBRID - 60% OFFICE BASED 40% WFH Pay: £13.85 per hr Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hrs pr/week - 9-5pm for training, once signed off from training flexi as long as logged core hrs 10-3pm Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Admin Officer. List the duties of the role: To examine online passport applications to determine nationality and identity, in line with current policy, procedures, and legislation, resolving queries as they arise. To provide effective and timely customer care to internal and external customers in line with current guidance and best practice. To interact with customers where required to the appropriate standard and in accordance with established policy and procedural instruction. To develop and maintain knowledge of legislation, policy, procedure and security guidelines to complete all work in accordance with His Majesty's Passport Office Policy, Procedure and Best Practice guidelines. Examine online documentation and all other presented evidence to identify potentially fraudulent applications in accordance with fraud awareness training and His Majesty's Passport Office counter fraud strategy. Skills: Knowledge of using IT systems * Proven experience in an administrative or secretarial role * Good knowledge of data management and record keeping * Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines * Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Training: No annual leave during training period - 6 weeks Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application): CTC + Basic DBS Role specific requirements: You must hold a valid passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 3 years. Please note that period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 3 years will unfortunately not be accepted. This role requires security clearance that will be processed for you, if successful.
