Home Office - Meet & Greet. Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Admin Officer. Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 37hr pr/w. Shifts on a rota basis either: 8am-4pm or 9:30am-5:30pm. Location: 4 Sandford House, 41 Homer Road, Solihull, B91 3QJ. OFFICE BASED.
Job Responsibility:
Managing the in and out flow of asylum customers attending their substantive interviews (between 08:00am - 17:30pm, Monday to Friday)
Making well informed decisions for our customers
Liaising with Home Office security to build rapport and maintain close working relationships
Conducting Home Office systems checks prior to each interview in line with performance and quality expectations
Ensuring customers are supported correctly and any security concerns raised appropriately
Requirements:
Must hold a valid passport
Must have lived in the UK for longer than 3 years
Periods of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 3 years are not accepted
Security clearance (CTC + DBS) will be processed if successful
No annual leave during training period (4-6 weeks)
Demonstrate sound interpersonal communication skills
Thrive working as part of a team
Communicate effectively with diverse service users, considering language barriers and vulnerabilities
Collaborate with teams, peers and senior management
Compliance with Civil Service and Home Office values
