Admin Officer (Temporary Ongoing) - Birmingham City Centre Location: Birmingham City Centre (Office-Based) Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (37 hours per week) Contract: Ongoing Temporary Pay Rate: £13.25 per hour About the Role We are currently recruiting for a proactive and organised Admin Officer to join a busy office-based team in Birmingham City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in administration or customer service who is looking to gain experience within a public sector environment. This role offers a varied workload, combining administrative duties with customer interaction and case management responsibilities.
Job Responsibility:
Data entry and maintaining accurate records
Managing email correspondence and responding to enquiries
Providing high-quality customer service via phone and email
Handling and progressing casework efficiently
Managing your own caseload and prioritising tasks effectively
Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties
Requirements:
Previous experience in administration and/or customer service
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload
Comfortable working with data and maintaining attention to detail
Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office
An interest in working within the public sector is highly desirable
Previous casework experience is advantageous but not essential
