The Administrative Fellowship is a two-year program designed to provide broad exposure to Allegheny Health Network and cultivate future leaders. The fellowship consists of multiple short-term rotations in the first year of the program and a year-long rotation during the final year of the program, offering experience across various departments and initiatives. As a Fellow, you will support the operational objectives of your assigned areas through participation in projects and programs aligned with organizational needs. This includes planning and implementing initiatives, conducting research and analysis, and formulating recommendations for action. The program also offers dedicated mentorship, executive lunch and learn sessions, and guidance from senior leaders to foster professional growth and expertise. This role provides the opportunity to rapidly develop professional skills, enhance business acumen, and gain hands-on experience within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Responsibility
Leadership Engagement: Attend, facilitate, and conduct meetings independently or in collaboration with members of the leadership team. This provides valuable exposure to decision-making processes and strategic discussions. (25%)
Project Management: Lead and contribute to a portfolio of 3-6 projects focused on organizational priorities, spanning across hospitals, inpatient and outpatient services, strategy, finance, and more. Manage projects independently and alongside leadership team members, depending on the project's scope, timeline, deliverables, and designated role. (15%)
Process Improvement: Identify, develop, and implement measurable process improvement initiatives that drive efficiency and enhance the overall performance of the system. (15%)
Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and internal/external stakeholders to plan assignments and resolve operational challenges. (15%)
Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis to support decision-making, including developing recommendations and alternative proposals for action. (15%)
Program Advancement: Contribute to the ongoing success of the Fellowship program by participating in recruitment efforts, promoting program branding and awareness, and identifying opportunities for program improvement. (15%)
Requirements
Master's degree required. Preferred fields of study include Business Administration, Health Administration, Health Services Administration, or Public Health. Other relevant Master's-level degrees will be considered. Candidates must have graduated with their Master’s degree within approximately one year of the program’s start date in June
