Performing complex, high-level technical and administrative work in engineering and construction management across multiple projects and programs. This position oversees the full lifecycle of construction projects, from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with established policies, regulations, and standards while managing time, cost, and quality to meet objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and coordinate multiple engineering and construction projects from planning through completion
Prepare and review technical and administrative reports
Assist in preparing and monitoring project budgets
Communicate project goals and updates to internal departments, external agencies, contractors, and the public
Contribute to the development and revision of departmental policies and procedures
Review contractor submittals, progress payments, and claims
Requirements:
Completion of a four (4) year college or university with a baccalaureate degree in one of the major fields of engineering
Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the administrative, design, planning and construction of engineering projects
Two (2) years of responsible supervisory and administrative experience
Nice to have:
Experience managing infrastructure or building construction projects
Experience with contract administration, including negotiation, change order analysis, and dispute resolution
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources across multiple concurrent projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing technical reports, correspondence, and presentations
