We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our team in Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky. As part of a non-profit organization, this Contract to potential long-term position offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful housing programs while utilizing your administrative and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with public housing program eligibility, and delivering excellent customer service to applicants and residents.
Job Responsibility:
Evaluate initial and triennial eligibility for public housing programs, ensuring all applications meet required standards
Support site management by recording and reporting housing data and maintaining accurate documentation
Prepare correspondence, letters, and forms while organizing and updating client files
Guide housing applicants through the application process, assisting with forms and required documentation
Conduct re-certification processes and maintain associated files for public housing residents
Schedule appointments for interviews and calculate rent changes based on updated information
Perform inspections for move-ins, move-outs, annual reviews, and follow-ups, documenting findings and providing guidance for corrective actions
Coordinate exterminations, remodeling, and other housing activities with leaseholders
Create and maintain detailed records of findings, actions, and progress reports
Handle administrative tasks, including data entry, file management, and preparation of written requests for income verification
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of clerical experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for document preparation and data management
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
Experience with assisted housing programs is preferred but not required
Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive personal and financial information
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with applicants and residents
Basic mathematical skills with the ability to use a calculator for computations
Dependable and committed to maintaining a consistent work schedule
