Position Summary: Children’s Hospital Primary Care Center (CHPCC) is here to help families raise healthy, happy children. Our locations serve more children than any other primary care practice in Boston. We are dedicated to helping parents and guardians raise happy and healthy children. We see patients beginning at birth, and will follow children through the important milestones of their development. Our dedicated staff of medical providers, nurses, social workers, dietitians, and child life specialists provides well-child care, including routine immunizations, health education, and care for acute illnesses.
Job Responsibility:
Purchase office supply needs through established department protocols to ensure efficient office operations
Monitor supply inventory/budgeting and identify and communicate trends and patterns to support cost containment and ensure appropriate use of supplies
Ensure all Program personnel are trained in Hospital policies and procedures as well as the appropriate features of the Hospital’s information systems, including follow-up training and consultations
Ensure compliance with government regulations (such as DPH, licensure, JCAHO, OSHA, etc.) and third party payor billing requirements
Organize and maintain daily administrative operations of department
Prepare, verify and monitor departmental payroll and maintain related records
Prepare periodic reports and documents to comply with hospital, governmental, regulatory and/or funding agency requirements
Participate in budget process by identifying and analyzing trends and patterns and prepares cost projections
Develops proposals to improve cost-effectiveness
Monitors budgets and payroll, resolves variances, prepares reports and maintains related records and documentation
Maximize revenue by ensuring all appropriate administrative paperwork is generated at the time of patient registration and forwarded to the Hospital and/or Foundation in a timely manner for billing purposes
Work on special projects and provides detailed analyses and reports on findings as requested by management independently and generates custom analytical reports from billing system as requested by management
Ensure integrity of in-house computer system
Make recommendations to management on system changes and works with software programmer to implement changes
Requirements:
High School Diploma/Ged Required
Two to four years of occupationally specific education or Associate’s degree in an occupationally specific education, or business/closely related field
2 years of experience
Analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles
Demonstrated knowledge of hospital systems, and operations
