We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in San Francisco, California. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards. The position involves both office-based responsibilities and fieldwork, making it ideal for someone comfortable with a dynamic work environment.
Job Responsibility:
Handle administrative tasks with precision, including document management, scheduling, and correspondence
Conduct mail runs and other errands within the Tenderloin area, ensuring timely completion of tasks
Maintain strong communication with clients and colleagues to support seamless operations
Assist with tenant-related matters, including case management and housing retention strategies
Conduct outreach visits and needs assessments to provide tailored support to tenants
Coordinate community events and tenant engagement initiatives in collaboration with property management and case managers
Ensure tenant files are accurately maintained, including file creation, updates, and archival processes
Respond to tenant crises with effective de-escalation techniques and provide necessary support
Refer tenants to appropriate services and programs based on individual needs and assist with follow-through
Adhere to confidentiality protocols and report incidents of concern to the appropriate parties
Requirements:
Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within housing or community services
Strong computer skills, including familiarity with tools such as ADP Workforce Now, Dayforce, and Ceridian
Excellent customer service abilities and communication skills
Comfortable with fieldwork, including walking around the Tenderloin area for tasks
Knowledge of benefit functions and background checks is advantageous
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Nice to have:
Prior experience with auditing or tenant case management is a plus
