We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support busy legal team in a fast-moving office environment in New Jersey. This contract position offers the potential for a permanent role and is ideal for someone who can stay organized, handle competing priorities, and contribute to daily administrative operations with accuracy and professionalism. The role offers the opportunity to work across high-volume workflows while supporting documentation, communication, and case-related processing.
Job Responsibility:
Manage a range of office support tasks, including document scanning, file indexing, photocopying, and preparing outgoing materials for delivery
Enter and update information in internal systems with a strong focus on speed, accuracy, and completeness
Assemble legal and case-related packets such as suit and judgment documentation for review and processing
Support litigation and collections workflows by maintaining calendars, tracking deadlines, and organizing related records
Prepare written responses and correspondence for clients and internal stakeholders based on established guidelines
Perform basic spreadsheet work, including reviewing data, updating information, and assisting with simple calculations related to bank and wage matters
Handle mailings and package preparation to ensure materials are completed and sent on time
Assist with reporting, query-based information lookups, and audit preparation activities as needed in a high-volume setting
Requirements:
Previous experience in administrative support, office coordination, or clerical work is preferred
Comfortable managing repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Ability to perform data entry efficiently and work with digital documents and office equipment
Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and general computer applications
Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple assignments at once
Detail-oriented communication skills, including the ability to support inbound calls and general office interactions
Willingness to learn legal or collections-related administrative processes and follow established procedures
