We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Palo Alto, California. In this role, you will support essential patient registration processes, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards. Your contributions will be pivotal in maintaining smooth operations and delivering exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibility:
Accurately complete patient registration and admission processes in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements
Collect and document co-payments, deductibles, and other patient payments during registration
Obtain and process patient signatures on required legal and registration documents
Maintain and secure patient valuables in accordance with department policies
Scan and upload registration-related documentation into the system by the end of each shift
Access and utilize online tools to verify insurance and patient demographic information
Collaborate with clinical staff to provide necessary materials such as wristbands, plates, and documentation in a timely manner
Respond to high-volume registration periods by prioritizing tasks to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction
Provide courteous and attentive customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a positive experience
Participate in team meetings, workshops, and training sessions to stay updated on policies and procedures
Requirements:
High school diploma required
an Associate's degree is preferred
Proficiency in typing at least 30 words per minute
Ability to use multiple computer programs simultaneously with accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional customer service abilities with a solution-oriented mindset
Self-motivated and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and handling sensitive information
Experience working in a team environment and assisting colleagues as needed
