Job Description

Robert Half is hiring an Administrative Assistant to provide specialized clerical and administrative support in a court or legal environment. Responsibilities encompass a wide variety of activities associated with case processing, requiring technical knowledge and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all official matters. This role demands impartiality and professionalism at all times.

Job Responsibility

  • Review incoming documents for completeness, verify accuracy and consistency with applicable statutes, and process according to established procedures
  • Assist customers, attorneys, and agencies by explaining court procedures, identifying required forms, and responding to inquiries about the judicial process
  • Issue warrants, summons, subpoenas, notices, and other legal documents as ordered
  • file and record legal documents with appropriate officials and agencies
  • Input case information into court database systems
  • track, log, and monitor case activity
  • prepare court calendars and assemble case documentation for hearings
  • Verify and process receipts for legal financial obligations including bail, fines, and fees
  • post cash receipts according to accounting procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, OR Associate's degree with 2 years of progressively responsible clerical support experience in a court or legal environment, OR High School diploma with 4 years of equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to adhere to strict timelines related to court operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including database experience
