We are hiring an Administrative Assistant to help a healthcare team in a non-clinical setting for an upcoming need. This role supports patient services, medical staff, and office operations, contributing to a positive environment for all visitors and team members. Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential.
Job Responsibility:
Answer and triage incoming calls from patients, family members, and providers, delivering excellent service and accurate information
Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meeting logistics for administrative and clinical staff
Maintain and update patient and staff records in electronic health systems
Greet patients and visitors, supporting check-in and check-out processes
Handle confidential documents and follow HIPAA guidelines
Assist with billing inquiries, insurance verification, and processing forms
Order office and medical supplies as needed
Support other administrative operations as assigned
Requirements:
Previous experience as an administrative assistant in healthcare or a similar fast-paced office setting
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to answer phones professionally and compassionately
Strong data entry and organization skills
familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems is a plus
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
High school diploma or equivalent
