We are looking for a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team on a short-term contract basis in Bloomington, Minnesota. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of a food shelf, supporting the community by managing volunteers, coordinating logistics, and performing essential administrative duties.
Job Responsibility:
Organize volunteer schedules, assist with onboarding, and provide ongoing guidance to ensure efficient operations
Prepare grocery orders with precision and care, adhering to client requirements and inventory standards
Manage delivery confirmations and coordinate logistics with clients, drivers, and delivery partners
Maintain and update records related to inventory and data entry, supporting accurate reporting processes
Partner with staff and community organizations to enhance workflows and improve service outcomes
Ensure workspace cleanliness and compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
Support the development of positive experiences for clients through effective collaboration and communication
Requirements:
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented and community-focused setting
Previous experience in administrative roles, inventory management, or volunteer coordination is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software applications
Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and empathetic service
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain attention to detail
