A growing manufacturing company is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support their Engineering Department. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Engineering team, ensuring smooth documentation processes and efficient coordination across departments. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to important projects while enhancing organizational workflows.
Job Responsibility:
Offer comprehensive administrative and documentation support to the Engineering team
Organize and maintain engineering files, including drawings, specifications, and work instructions, ensuring accurate archiving
Generate various file formats such as PDFs and DXFs for internal teams and external suppliers
Collaborate with Operations and Customer Experience teams to manage returns in the JD Edwards system, ensuring proper documentation and disposition
Prepare meeting notes, summaries, and simple technical presentations for organizational use
Assist in gathering data and documenting processes for continuous improvement projects
Maintain project trackers, action item lists, and engineering schedules to support team productivity
Requirements:
Proven experience in administrative assistance, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering setting
Proficiency in data entry and interpretation with attention to detail
Familiarity with managing documentation and file structures to ensure accuracy and organization
Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred
Ability to coordinate effectively across departments and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Skilled at preparing meeting minutes and technical presentations
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Experience supporting process improvement initiatives is a plus
