Our construction client in Walnut Creek is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations and provide direct administrative support to leadership. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in an office setting. This is a fully onsite and long-term contract role with the opportunity to go permanent.
Job Responsibility
Manage and prioritize a high-volume email inbox on behalf of leadership
Answer and direct incoming phone calls (approximately 10–12 daily)
Perform data entry and maintain organized records and files (both physical and digital)
Provide front desk support, including greeting occasional visitors and handling deliveries
Assist with office management tasks such as ordering supplies and maintaining organization
Support general administrative needs and special projects as assigned
Provide occasional assistance to the marketing team
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in an administrative, office support, or receptionist-focused role
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to manage inbound calls, email communication, and front desk responsibilities professionally
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience maintaining records, organizing files, and supporting general back-office operations
Solid time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a busy office environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a dependable, adaptable work style
