We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations for a non-profit organization in Glen Burnie, Maryland. This Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys providing excellent service, managing multiple administrative tasks, and keeping communication organized across a busy environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong office coordination skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with both internal teams and the public.
Job Responsibility:
Manage front desk and administrative support activities, including greeting visitors and responding to general office inquiries in a courteous and detail-oriented manner
Handle incoming and outgoing phone communication, ensuring calls are directed appropriately and messages are recorded accurately
Coordinate calendars and arrange appointments, meetings, and other scheduled activities to help maintain efficient office operations
Prepare, update, and maintain records through accurate data entry and organized document management practices
Draft, send, and respond to email correspondence while maintaining clear and timely communication with staff, residents, and external contacts
Create and edit spreadsheets, reports, presentations, and written documents using Microsoft Office applications
Provide customer service support by addressing questions, resolving routine issues, and escalating more complex matters when needed
Assist with administrative processes related to leasing or housing-related office functions while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
Requirements:
Previous experience in an administrative assistant, receptionist, or office support role
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience handling multi-line phone systems, inbound and outbound calls, and email communication
Accurate data entry skills with strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to manage appointments, priorities, and routine office tasks in a fast-paced setting
Customer service experience and a detail-oriented, dependable approach to daily responsibilities
