We are looking for a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Kokomo, Indiana. In this role, you will provide essential support to our operations during tax season, ensuring smooth workflows and excellent client service. Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and manage the workflow for client tax preparation processes
Guide clients through completing intake forms and onboarding procedures
Organize and schedule meetings for tax preparers with clients
Print tax returns and assist clients in signing documents efficiently
Maintain a structured approach to tasks, prioritizing deadlines during tax season
Respond to inbound calls and assist with client inquiries
Handle email correspondence professionally and ensure timely responses
Accurately perform data entry tasks to support tax preparation
Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, for administrative tasks
Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for team members
Requirements:
Previous experience in a tax office is beneficial but not mandatory
a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with clients and team members
Familiarity with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Slack is preferred but not required
Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Proficiency in answering inbound calls and providing excellent customer service
Competence in handling data entry and maintaining accuracy
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
