We are looking for a highly organized Administrative Assistant to join our team in San Francisco, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in supporting various administrative and client-focused tasks. The ideal candidate has strong computer skills, excellent customer service abilities, and is comfortable navigating the Tenderloin area to perform duties such as mail runs.
Job Responsibility:
Manage a caseload of 60-90 units, providing support to formerly homeless individuals with mental health, substance abuse, or medical challenges
Conduct outreach activities, including initial visits and ongoing follow-ups, to ensure tenants receive necessary services and support
Perform thorough needs assessments and deliver case management services aimed at improving housing retention and overall quality of life
Assist tenants with securing and maintaining benefits, making rent payments, and resolving habitability issues within their units
Organize and participate in community-building activities, such as tenant events, social gatherings, and group meetings
Refer tenants to relevant services and programs, ensuring successful follow-through and connection to resources
Respond to tenant-related crises, offering de-escalation support and intervention during challenging situations
Collaborate with property management staff, case managers, and external providers to advocate for tenant needs and maintain a supportive community environment
Maintain comprehensive and confidential tenant records, including file creation, updates, and archival processes
Participate in agency-wide initiatives and provide assistance during monthly check disbursement days
Requirements:
Proficiency in computer systems, including ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, and other relevant software
Demonstrated ability to perform background checks and auditing tasks with attention to detail
Strong communication skills, ensuring effective interactions with tenants, colleagues, and external partners
Experience in benefit functions and knowledge of tenant-related support programs
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with navigating urban areas, specifically the Tenderloin district, for job-related tasks
Proven customer service skills with a focus on empathy and problem-solving
Comfortable handling sensitive situations and responding to crises effectively
