We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the Curriculum department within a non-profit educational organization in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this short-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations by managing critical administrative tasks and assisting with curriculum-related activities. Your ability to adapt quickly, handle data entry, and assist in educational planning will be essential for this role.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate student registration processes and maintain accurate records
Input data related to assessments and student progress into the PowerSchool database
Organize and track student performance metrics using established systems
Schedule student meetings and small group sessions based on subject requirements
Ensure compliance with lesson planning and grade submission deadlines
Prepare materials and schedules for state and national testing
Assist in the development of tutoring and test preparation plans
Handle administrative orders and track approvals as needed
Provide general administrative support to the Curriculum and School Director
Requirements:
Proven experience in administrative assistance within an educational or non-profit setting
Proficiency in using software tools such as PowerSchool and PlanBook
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
Ability to handle data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
Familiarity with lesson planning and educational compliance processes
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Comfortable working in a high school environment and supporting curriculum-related activities
Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes
