We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations in Jersey City, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a blend of front-desk coordination, phone support, and administrative tasks. The person in this role will help maintain an efficient workplace by managing communications, updating records, and assisting with general office activities.
Job Responsibility
Manage incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members while providing courteous and attentive service
Welcome visitors and support front-desk activities to ensure a positive and organized office environment
Perform a variety of administrative support tasks, including document handling, scheduling assistance, and office coordination
Enter, update, and maintain information in internal records and databases with a high level of accuracy
Assist with routine office operations by organizing files, preparing correspondence, and tracking administrative details
Support team members with day-to-day clerical needs to help keep workflows efficient and well coordinated
Requirements
Prior experience in an administrative, office support, or receptionist role
Ability to handle inbound calls professionally and communicate clearly with internal and external contacts
Strong data entry skills with close attention to accuracy and detail
Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a busy office setting
Proficiency with standard administrative processes and general office tools
