Job Responsibility:
Facilitate patient registration by collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information
Obtain necessary patient signatures on legal documents and ensure compliance with organizational policies
Process payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and deposits, with accuracy and care
Scan and upload required documentation into the system before the end of each shift
Collaborate with clinical staff by providing wristbands, facesheets, and other essential documents promptly
Handle patient valuables according to department procedures and maintain secure storage
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and coordinating visitor authorizations
Ensure office equipment is operational and follow downtime procedures when necessary
Participate actively in departmental meetings, workshops, and training sessions
Uphold a collaborative and solution-oriented approach when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
High school diploma required
AA degree and proficiency in a second language are preferred
Ability to type at least 30 words per minute and efficiently use multiple computer programs
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated and able to produce high-quality work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience handling sensitive documentation
Exceptional customer service skills and a detail-oriented approach
Familiarity with insurance verification processes and legal documentation requirements
Nice to have:
