We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to provide dependable office support for a non-profit organization in Michigan. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping daily operations organized, assisting internal teams, and creating a welcoming front-office experience. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a busy administrative environment through communication, coordination, and accurate record management. 100% onsite, Monday- Friday: 8a-5p – hours reduced due to summer hours and ½ Fridays. After June 5th Fridays will be off and the role would be 34 hours a week. Contract role with a possibility of being hired in.
Job Responsibility:
Manage front-desk and general office activities, ensuring visitors and callers receive timely and helpful assistance
Respond to inbound phone calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate staff, and relay messages accurately
Perform data entry tasks with close attention to detail to maintain organized and current records
Support departmental administrative needs by preparing documents, handling routine correspondence, and assisting with scheduling
Maintain office files, forms, and supplies so day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently
Assist with a variety of general office duties as needed to support staff and business functions
Demonstrate reliable attendance, strong organization, and courteous communication
Handle physical office tasks such as filing, moving materials, and completing other duties that may require standing, walking, bending, or lifting items within established guidelines
Requirements:
Previous exposure to administrative support, receptionist, or office-based work is helpful

Ability to answer inbound calls professionally and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and external contacts
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Comfortable working in an office environment with changing priorities and routine administrative deadlines
Dependable attendance, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in a business setting
Basic organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple support tasks during the workday
Ability to perform occasional physical activities, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting materials as needed
