We are looking for a skilled Administrative Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. This role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently manage office operations, maintain organization, and support various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent multitasking abilities and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Organize and maintain office files and ensure proper use of digital tools, including OneDrive, for document management
Monitor and replenish office supplies to maintain a well-stocked and functional workspace
Perform data entry tasks and ensure accuracy in administrative records and reports
Provide front desk support by answering inbound calls and managing receptionist duties
Assist with scheduling, coordinating meetings, and managing calendars for team members
Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to create, edit, and manage documents and spreadsheets
Ensure the office environment remains organized and conducive to productivity
Collaborate with team members to adapt to various protocols and processes
Support inventory management and tracking to meet office needs
Handle additional administrative duties as assigned to support overall operations
Requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
Previous experience in administrative assistance, preferably in a government or similar setting
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to adapt to diverse work environments and protocols
Experience with digital file management systems, such as OneDrive
Familiarity with basic office equipment and general office operations
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
