Job Responsibility:
Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk, welcoming patients and visitors professionally and courteously
Handle incoming phone calls, directing inquiries appropriately and providing accurate information
Manage patient scheduling, ensuring appointments are efficiently organized and updated
Perform data entry tasks with precision, maintaining accurate records in electronic health and practice management systems
Verify insurance information and assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as Allscripts, to manage patient data effectively
Support the practice with general administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations by signing a confidentiality agreement
Collaborate with team members to provide coverage as needed and adapt to varying workloads
Uphold a strong commitment to patient care and customer service in all interactions
Requirements:
Previous experience in administrative roles, preferably within a medical office environment
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
experience with Allscripts is highly desirable
Proficiency in office productivity tools, including Excel
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy, dynamic environment
Customer-service oriented mindset with a focus on patient care
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems
