The administrative assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to the Consultant/Suite in the Genetic Department. The post holder's role is to ensure the effective delivery of services to patients attending the Consultant's Rooms at Hermitage Clinic. The role is responsible for the provision of quality administrative service in line with the highest professional practice.

provide cover and clerical support
conduct telephone communication professionally
ensure patient records are accurately maintained
complete insurance paperwork
take payments from patients
daily banking/reconciliation
typing reports
maintain patient confidentiality

ensure compliance with hospital guidelines/legislation

Requirements:
Leaving Certificate or equivalent
2 years administration experience in a busy administrative role
Nice to have:
Medical terminology
Previous hospital experience
Experience working with a Patient information System
