We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations in Durham, New Hampshire. This is a Contract position for an organized individual who can manage front-desk activities, maintain accurate records, and provide dependable administrative support. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively, handle a steady flow of inbound calls, and help keep office processes organized and efficient.
Job Responsibility:
Greet visitors and serve as the first point of contact for incoming phone calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate team members
Provide day-to-day administrative support by organizing files, preparing documents, and maintaining orderly office records
Enter, update, and verify information in databases and tracking systems with a high level of accuracy
Coordinate routine office activities such as scheduling, correspondence, and general clerical tasks to support smooth operations
Monitor shared administrative inboxes and phone lines, ensuring messages are relayed promptly and efficiently
Assist with reception coverage and maintain a welcoming, organized office environment for staff and guests
Requirements:
Previous experience in an administrative assistant, receptionist, or general office support role
Strong ability to manage inbound calls professionally and respond to inquiries with clarity and courtesy
Proficiency in data entry with careful attention to accuracy and detail
Working knowledge of standard administrative office procedures and clerical practices
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to organize multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a busy office setting
