This position provides administrative support duties for assigned staff including items such as data entry processing, materials, tracking information, creating requisitions and processing invoices and payments, maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, answering and directing phone calls, providing information to the public, and processing work orders. This is a regular full-time, non-exempt hourly position with benefits. The anticipated work schedule for this position is a 4/10 or 5/8 schedule dependent on Division needs. The position is subject to a six (6) month probationary period.
Job Responsibility:
Provides administrative support duties for assigned staff including items such as data entry processing, materials, tracking information, creating requisitions and processing invoices and payments, maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, answering and directing phone calls, providing information to the public, and processing work orders
When assigned to the Police Department this position researches investigations tracks cases and assignments
Issues and tracks specialized public safety equipment maintains associated records and files
Completes helpdesk tickets related to assigned programs may serve as administrator or assign programs
Maintains data and information related to program and area assignment
Processes extra duty assignments
Assists with scheduling absent employee relief for sworn personnel
Creates acquisitions
Processes invoices payments and process work orders and requests
Requirements:
Must possess a High School or GED equivalency
Must have at least 2-years administrative support experience
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
Must be able to obtain a Department of Public Safety Level D Termination Operator Certification within 6-months of hire
Nice to have:
Preferred applicants will possess at least 4-years administrative support experience
Preferred applicants will have previous experience working in a law enforcement administrative environment as sworn or professional staff
Preferred applicants will currently possess a DPS Level D Termination Operator Certificate
