We are looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join a labor and employment law firm in Sacramento, California. This permanent, on-site position supports multiple attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment and plays an important role in keeping daily operations organized and efficient. The ideal candidate brings strong litigation support experience, excellent written communication skills, and a careful, thorough approach to document handling and office coordination.
Job Responsibility
Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents such as pleadings, discovery materials, correspondence, and internal memoranda with a high degree of accuracy
Manage attorney calendars by tracking deadlines, scheduling key dates, and maintaining organized docketing systems for active matters
Process new client matters, maintain complete case records, and keep information updated within the firm's case management platform
Submit court filings electronically and assist with procedural requirements related to court and administrative agency matters
Record attorney time entries and expenses promptly while supporting billing-related administrative tasks as needed
Conduct basic legal and factual research to support attorneys in case preparation and ongoing matter management
Handle front-office and administrative support activities, including responding to inbound calls, routing inquiries, and assisting with general office coordination
Perform data entry, proofreading, document formatting, and other legal support duties to ensure high-quality and accurate work product
Requirements
At least five years of experience in litigation support, legal administration, labor and employment law, or a closely related legal practice area
Working knowledge of court procedures, filing requirements, and electronic filing processes
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience using case management, billing, and other law office technology platforms
Strong written communication skills with demonstrated accuracy in grammar, spelling, proofreading, and document formatting
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and support several attorneys at once

Background in criminal law or familiarity with administrative agency matters is considered advantageous
