We are looking for a dedicated and resourceful Administrative Assistant to join the IT Department of a growing non-profit organization in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a crucial role in supporting IT operations and ensuring the department runs efficiently. Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain and update inventory records for IT equipment and supplies, ensuring accurate tracking and labeling
  • Coordinate the shipment of IT tools and equipment to meet organizational and staff needs promptly
  • Generate and prepare detailed reports, providing valuable data insights to support IT decision-making
  • Organize and manage the Chief IT Officer’s schedule, ensuring appointments and meetings are efficiently arranged
  • Provide administrative support by utilizing Excel and other tools to manage planning and departmental records
  • Respond to inbound calls, addressing inquiries and escalating issues as needed
  • Perform data entry tasks to support IT operations and maintain accurate documentation
  • Assist with receptionist duties, including greeting visitors and managing communications
  • Collaborate with various teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in administrative support or office assistance, preferably in an IT-related environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage inventory systems accurately
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to anticipating and addressing challenges
