Job Description:

The Administrative Assistant I provides clerical and administrative support to the City Clerk, focusing on accurate recordkeeping, public assistance, and support for municipal functions such as licensing, vital records, elections, and parking ticket processing. Responsibilities include coordinating service requests, processing fees, and managing applications and official documents while delivering professional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The role requires regular interaction with municipal staff, elected officials, boards, businesses, state agencies, and the public through in-person, phone, and written communication. The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment is essential.
