Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support within a legal/regulatory environment. This role involves handling communications, managing documentation, and supporting magistrates on rate-setting cases while ensuring professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Job Responsibility

  • Respond to telephone, mail, and electronic inquiries from lawyers, paralegals, and state agencies in a professional and timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and respectful interactions
  • Provide administrative support to magistrates on rate-setting cases
  • Manage and organize large volumes of documents, including filing, scanning, photocopying, and faxing
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, stamping, and distribution
  • Handle correspondence and maintain accurate records in compliance with internal procedures
  • Support daily office operations and assist with additional administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2–4 years of administrative or clerical experience
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Nice to have

  • Experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Court/Legal Office staff
  • Prior experience working in a government or regulatory environment
