Job Description

We are looking for an Administrative Accountant to join our well-established corporate office supporting our manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for a multi-tasking administrative professional who can answer phones and manage core ledger activities, support timely accounts payable, and bring strong analytical insight to day-to-day operations. The position offers the opportunity to work across key accounting functions while partnering effectively with colleagues throughout the business.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee general ledger activities and accounts payable while supporting multiple office functions
  • Support controller with month-end close tasks, ensuring reporting deadlines are met with accuracy and consistency
  • Perform detailed reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, payroll, and accounts payable transactions
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes by verifying entries and ensuring proper alignment with ledger balances
  • Use advanced Excel tools, including lookup formulas and pivot tables, to organize data, perform analysis, and improve reporting efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to provide operational information and address accounting-related questions
  • Contribute to process improvements within accounting operations while maintaining compliance with internal standards and reporting requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in is a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience administrative and multi-tasking in a busy office setting is required
  • Demonstrated expertise in account reconciliations, with particular strength in payroll and accounts payable-related balances
  • Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures and the ability to meet recurring deadlines
  • Strong Excel proficiency, including experience with formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis functions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization
