Job Description

Sector Focus: Support a critical healthcare division within South Australian Government. Location/Flexibility: Full-time temp contract, working across multiple metropolitan health sites. About the Role: This dynamic role delivers crucial reception and administrative relief support across DASSA’s Outpatient, Withdrawal, and Business Services units.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide empathetic, highly professional reception support to clients, visitors, and external stakeholders (such as courts and legal firms)
  • Manage electronic appointment diaries, client reminders, room allocations, and text message updates
  • Register new clients using electronic records systems (CME/Objective), perform high-accuracy data entry, and handle incoming correspondence
  • Support duty doctors with prescription workflows, manage stationery orders, and assist with confidential Needle Syringe Program data collection

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a medical reception or health administration setting
  • Strong typing skills (60 wpm with 98% accuracy)
  • Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and electronic client database systems
  • Reliable vehicle and a current, valid driver’s licence
  • Current National Police Check (NPC)
