We currently have the following Band 3 Administration Officer vacancies with the Newcastle North-East Community Treatment Team based at Benton House, 136 Sandyford Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 1QE:- 1 x full time post : 37.5hrs (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) 1 x part time post: 36hrs (Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm / Friday 9am to 3pm). This is a very busy service and the successful post holders will members of the admin team to support the large multi-disciplinary clinical team to provide a comprehensive, high quality administrative service at all times.
Job Responsibility:
Undertake a variety of admin duties as assigned by the Administration Team Lead/Administration Manager/Clinical Team Manager
Responsible for administrative functions
Facilitate excellent customer service and be confident in dealing with service users face to face as well as on the telephone
Provide a positive patient experience
Be a member of the admin team to support the large multi-disciplinary clinical team to provide a comprehensive, high quality administrative service at all times
Requirements:
Word-processing skills at Level 3 (OCR/RSA Level 3 or equivalent qualification and/or demonstrable relevant experience) eg
NVQ Level 3 Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
Audio Typing qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience
General level of education to O-Level/ GCSE or equivalent
Knowledge of NHS Policies and Procedures
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including e-mail communication
Ability to maintain and update Patient Information Systems e.g. RiO
Good working knowledge of office procedures
Previous secretarial/clerical experience
Ability to uphold confidentiality at all times
Able to prioritise and plan own workload
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Minute-taking skills
Good organisational and planning skills
Flexible attitude to cope with fluctuating workloads and the occasional requirement to cover other areas in cases of staff absence
Discrete in handling confidential and sensitive information
Must be able to meet the mobility requirements of the post, in providing cover for other teams as and when agreed
Nice to have:
NVQ Level 3 Level 3 in Customer Care (or equivalent)
Experience in processing CPA, Mental Health Act and Safeguarding documentation
Experience using stock ordering systems and petty cash systems
Experience of working with medical records filing systems
