Our client, a key department within HM Courts and Tribunal Service (HMCTS), is hiring a full-time temporary Administrative Officer for their busy Criminal Fines Collection and Enforcement contact centre in Burnley. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vital public service, supporting the enforcement of court-imposed fines and penalties.
Job Responsibility
Handling a high volume of inbound calls from courts, tribunals, and the public with professionalism and empathy
Providing clear, helpful information and resolving enquiries efficiently
Updating records accurately on the in-house computer system following each contact
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience
Working scheduled hours between 9:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work at other local HMCTS offices if needed
Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong empathy and problem-solving abilities to support customers in stressful situations
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Confidence in using computer systems to update and maintain records
A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering a right first time service
