Our client, HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS), is seeking a dedicated Administration Officer with Court Usher duties to support the smooth running of court proceedings in Crewe. This is a full-time temporary role with potential for extension, offering a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a fair and accessible justice system. What you'll be doing: * Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings, and meetings * Producing and updating court documents and records on internal systems * Data input and drafting standard correspondence * Clerking Civil and Family Courts, tribunals, and hearings * Setting up court and hearing rooms, ensuring they are ready and cleared afterwards * Calling parties into court in priority order and escorting court users as needed * Supporting vulnerable adults and children attending hearings * Keeping parties informed of hearing updates * Liaising with Court Clerks, Legal Advisers, Judiciary, Witness Service, and external agencies * Assisting court users with general queries As a Court Usher, you will be the first point of contact, ensuring a professional, safe, and organised environment. Your role is vital in supporting the judiciary and maintaining the integrity of court proceedings, often requiring sensitivity and resilience when dealing with vulnerable individuals.
