As an Administration Officer within the Seafaring & Maritime Operations (SMO) team, you’ll play a key role in supporting Higher Education short courses and program administration. From enrolment through to certification, you’ll ensure every step of the student journey runs smoothly, delivering high-quality training outcomes and an exceptional experience. This is a dynamic role requiring attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of Higher Education and VET frameworks to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and review Higher Education short course enrolments
Assist with course administration tasks including processing enrolments, assessing eligibility, creating student files, and managing TAGS book coordination
Support Higher Education examination processes and short course delivery
Provide professional, timely assistance to students and staff, ensuring compliance and accuracy
Maintain electronic files and databases and prepare induction materials and learner resources.
Requirements:
Proven ability to manage multiple administrative tasks with exceptional organisational skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff in a professional manner
Experience in the education sector with strong administrative and organisational skills
Proficiency in software packages and databases, including VET Student Management Systems
Knowledge of Higher Education and VET requirements (or ability to learn quickly)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
