Job Description

Are you a highly organised administrative professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic healthcare environment? The Asset & Security Management Unit (ASMU) within the State Government Health Sector is seeking an efficient and responsive Administration Officer. In this role, you will be a critical link in ensuring our hospital and facility building assets are effectively maintained to support high-quality healthcare delivery across South Australia. You will work closely with senior staff and external contractors to deliver outstanding, customer-focused business support services.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the operational link between the health unit and the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA) service provider
  • Review, raise, or reject breakdown and minor work requests using facility management systems
  • Review and investigate financial claims and invoices from service providers to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Manage the distribution of contractor site proximity cards/keys and facilitate contractor site inductions
  • Maintain secure paper and electronic asset registries and generate compliance reports

Requirements

  • Highly developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to build trust with staff, clients, and external contractors
  • Proven ability to recognise problems, formulate solutions, and autonomously prioritise workloads
  • Extensive experience providing comprehensive asset management support services within a complex environment (healthcare setting highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating matters of significance and monitoring the performance of service providers/contractors
  • A strong understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislative requirements and public sector management standards
  • Appointment is subject to a current, satisfactory National Criminal History Check
