Job Responsibility:

Lead and manage essential administrative duties to support colleagues and learners within the department, including the comprehensive and accurate maintenance of data relating to finance, personnel and learners

Requirements:

  • Hold, or be willing to gain, Level 2 qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy within an agreed timescale
  • Hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 2 qualification related to ICT or business administration OR have relevant industrial experience and skills
  • Demonstrate an ability to effectively manage a team of Senior Administrators
  • Have experience leading an effective and efficient administration service (within a prison-based office environment is desirable)
  • Have experience maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based data recording systems
  • Have proven time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have up to date IT skills or an IT-related qualification
  • Have customer service experience, or a demonstrable knowledge of what constitutes excellent customer service across a variety of stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification
  • Experience within a prison-based office environment
