Job Description:

The Chief Accountant works in the AFC department that takes care of supporting the strategic activities of the company, managing administrative processes and information of an accounting, banks and taxes nature.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee month-end close activities: prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
  • Generate monthly financial reporting packages and assist with audit readiness and compliance
  • Manage day-to-day treasury activities, including banking transactions and liquidity monitoring
  • Manages relationship with administrative/tax/legal consultants/auditors
  • Responsible for company’s compliance with Federal and State legal/tax/environmental statutory requirements in Mexico, including corporate books and resolutions

Requirements:

  • Experience of at least 5 years in a similar role
  • Knowledge of corporate accounting practices
  • Knowledge of legal accounting and taxes requirements in México
  • Analytic capacity and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Good communication skills
  • Proven interest in continued education to fulfil role requirements

Nice to have:

Italian will be a plus
