As a Team Leader in the EMEA region, your primary objective is to lead and support your team in the efficient and precise administration of all treaties, whilst supporting your team’s personal development and wellbeing. You will ensure that all processes are conducted in strict compliance with SOX regulations, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and timeliness. Your responsibilities will encompass Administration processing on Ira within the UK & Continental Europe (CE) jurisdictions. Additionally, your expertise may be utilized in other RGA entities or affiliates outside the EMEA region, depending on business requirements
Job Responsibility:
Lead and mentor a dedicated team to achieve operational excellence
Oversee the administration of treaties, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time, including processing through RGA entities, external retrocessionaires, and the International Retro Pool
Coordinate with EMEA Finance and Valuations to meet month-end deadlines, ensuring timely completion of activities such as policy exhibit processing and query resolution
Ensure full compliance with SOX regulations in all administrative processes
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Maintain up-to-date market knowledge of the UK and CE insurance/reinsurance sectors to inform team operations and decision-making
Apply deep technical expertise in RGA treaty practices to guide team activities and ensure accurate risk transfer management
Requirements:
Have a comprehensive market knowledge of the UK or CE insurance/ reinsurance industry
Gain and uphold a thorough understanding of processing client data and associated financial reporting using RGA administration systems
Exhibit strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify patterns and connections within complex datasets
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel
Nice to have:
Proven track record of coaching, developing, and mentoring direct reports, or a demonstrated willingness to learn and grow in this area
Experience in creating and documenting administrative processes and workflows, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
