Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone. Our justice system defends our fundamental rights and freedoms. It is a cornerstone of our modern society and it must serve all those who call on it, when they call on it. From some of the most vulnerable people in our society, to families in crisis, claimants and commercial businesses - HMCTS has a responsibility to administer a justice system that is accessible to everyone and operates efficiently. This is a key position supporting the day-to-day running of the court. You'll be part of a fast-paced team helping ensure proceedings are well-organised and run smoothly.
Job Responsibility:
Progress cases through the court/tribunal system
Support various court functions by following established guidelines
Handle inbound and outbound calls professionally
Manage and respond to email correspondence
Create, update, and maintain records and case files
Input accurate data into internal systems
Prepare and organise paperwork for hearings and meetings
General administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and managing documents
Book and prepare meeting rooms
Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders
Remain professional, calm, and proactive in a busy office environment
Requirements:
Previous experience in an administrative role
Confident using Microsoft Office and managing shared inboxes
Strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage a high workload and prioritise tasks
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
