Job Description

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity, ideal for placement students or recent graduates in BA Fashion Design & Technology. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment, with exposure to the full design and product development lifecycle. The role supports the application of academic learning in a real-world setting, while developing both creative and technical skills. You’ll also gain insight into supplier communication, garment development, and production, building a strong foundation for future roles in the industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting with seasonal trend research and inspiration
  • Updating range plans and contributing to the development of colour palettes and mood boards
  • Producing CAD drawings across multi-product categories
  • Creating and amending clear, accurate tech packs
  • Supporting Garment Technologists and Senior Designers during fit sessions
  • Liaising with suppliers on a daily basis, including chasing samples, strike-offs, and fabric swatches
  • Assisting with the sourcing and organisation of fabrics and trims
  • Maintaining and updating administrative systems to accurately track sample development

Requirements

  • A degree-level qualification in Fashion Design or a related discipline (e.g. BA Fashion Design & Technology)
  • Proficiency in Adobe software, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within a commercial setting
  • Confidence in presenting ideas and work to a wider team
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to respond to the pace and demands of industry
