The Adjustment Reduction Program – Reporting and Ledger Sr Group Manager will manage multiple teams and engage with senior leadership across Finance, Risk, the LOBs, Technology and Data organizations to drive the strategic direction of this Transformation effort. The role is responsible for leading risk reduction remediation efforts through identification, prioritization and analysis, collaborative solutioning and reporting status and metrics to measure success and produce outcomes that meet our regulatory commitments. This experienced leader will be accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, stakeholder engagement and contribution to strategic outcomes for Citi. A good understanding of data flows within banking/Finance is vital to being able to direct this multi-faceted team. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Additionally, being able to write well to address regulatory inquiries and provide updates to senior leadership is critical to success in this highly visible program. Responsibility for multiple teams and may require vendor relationship management. Heavy people management experience needed to handle duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contributes to the governance and execution of adjustment reduction solutions
  • Has a good working knowledge of ledger and reporting platforms to set direction and influence outcomes
  • Enables optimal inventory tooling and capabilities, including metrics automation, to strengthen reporting to key stakeholders
  • Plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processes
  • Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
  • Responsible for determining approach to implementing adjustment reduction program for Ledgers and Reporting
  • Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to BAU strategy
  • Understands data offerings and data flows across the end-to end data process from initiation through reporting for Finance and Risk
  • Drives compliance with Citi’s Adjustments Standard to reduce risk and meet risk tolerance targets
  • Manages a variety of broad-based and complex scenarios requiring conceptual analysis
  • Understands how team integrates within the overall Adjustment Reduction Program to contribute to achieving broader objective
  • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complex, dynamic situations
  • able to articulate analysis into responses that are appropriate for senior internal and external audience
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Requirements:

  • 20+ years of accounting, data and/or regulatory program management experience, Banking industry and/or Finance function background preferred with an understanding of related reporting requirements
  • Experience with defining and implementing strategic remediation programs, including identifying and resolving issues
  • executing against regulatory commitments and managing stakeholder expectations, internal and external
  • Strategic mindset that communicates effectively, drives consensus and influences relationships at all levels
  • develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Able to effectively lead change in an organization with Citigroup’s size, scale and complexity
  • Experience leveraging the processes and principles of change management to drive organizational change, defining change criteria, providing support and education, managing resistance, and measuring outcomes
  • Manages through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
  • Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizations
