Job Description:

The Department of Biology at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, is seeking instructors to teach introductory laboratory and lecture courses for majors and non-majors. The successful candidate will have the enthusiasm, classroom presence and skills to engage students in active learning and should be committed to pursuing excellence in teaching and promoting an inclusive learning environment. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching and mentoring undergraduate students of all backgrounds.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare, plan, and teach Biology 105 lectures and Biology 105 labs as well Biology 104 lab courses
  • Hold office hours
  • Create and grade assignments, including submitting grades according to established deadlines

Requirements:

Master's degree in Biology

Nice to have:

  • PhD in Biology or related field
  • Evidence of engaging, inclusive teaching at the undergraduate level
