Job Description:

Talentmark are recruiting for an Adhesive Manufacturing Technologist to join an Adhesive Tape manufacturing company at their site based in Leicester on a full time, permanent basis. A Leading and well-established UK-based manufacturer of a wide range of Adhesive Tapes. Working hours are 36¼ hours, Monday – Friday (8.30 am – 5 pm) with 1¼ hours for lunch, with a flexi-time option.

Job Responsibility:

  • Evaluating, qualifying and conducting studies on project ideas
  • Leading projects in line with defined processes, assessing risks and mitigating these
  • Visiting customers, suppliers and end users
  • Being one step ahead of technological advances and legislative changes in adhesives and tape manufacture
  • Being one step ahead of market trends and competitors to identify gaps in the company's product range
  • Working with the company's marketing team to launch new products
  • Supporting commercial staff with responding to customer queries and technical questions

Requirements:

  • BSc, MSci or MChem degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Adhesive Science
  • Excellent knowledge of Pressure-Sensitive Adhesives and Adhesive Tape Technology
  • Extensive experience with Manufacturing Processes
  • Excellent and demonstrable Cross-Functional Communication, at all levels
  • Experience with Project Management and leading cross-functional teams
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with New Product Development (NPD) or New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Entitlement to work in the UK is essential
