  • Complete End of Titration Reviews (EOTRs) and undertake annual medication reviews in a timely, thorough, and patient-centred manner
  • Exercise independent or supplementary prescribing rights within scope of practice, recognising professional limitations and seeking senior clinical advice when required

  • Work collaboratively with Consultant Psychiatrists and the wider ADHD multidisciplinary team
  • Undertake regular risk assessments and review safeguarding concerns, escalating appropriately
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential clinical records using Psychiatry UK’s digital systems
  • Participate in audit, quality improvement initiatives, and prescribing reviews to support clinical governance and service development
  • Engage in regular clinical supervision, peer support, and team learning
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Psychiatry UK’s prescribing pathways, titration protocols, and service delivery models
  • Support the delivery of internal and external education and training sessions
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, prescribing guidance, and organisational policies

Requirements:

  • GMC-registered General Practitioner with a valid licence to practise in the UK with 1-2 years post CCT experience as a GP
  • Sound understanding of ADHD management or willingness to undertake training
  • Experience working with patients with chronic physical and mental health diagnosis and complex medical needs
  • Demonstrable clinical experience in the assessment and management of ADHD in adults
  • Strong patient-centred approach, with the ability to show empathy, professionalism, and to build and sustain effective therapeutic relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, particularly within remote and digital models of care
  • Sound understanding of relevant legislation, professional standards, and current developments in ADHD services and prescribing practice
  • Ability to work autonomously, safely, and efficiently while managing an independent caseload
  • Strong IT and digital literacy skills and confidence in using digital health platforms

Nice to have:

  • Experience with titration and long-term management of stimulant and non-stimulant ADHD medications
  • Understanding of clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement processes related to prescribing
