To facilitate the provision of flexible support and the development of learning opportunities for students with a wide range of learning needs including ASD, ADHD, OCD, visual and hearing impairments, dyslexia, physical needs and dyscalculia
To maintain clear and accurate systems of records in order to review learning needs, set targets in respect of Additional Learning Support and support student progress towards achieving their minimum target grades
To liaise with curriculum staff about how best to support teaching and learning to ensure that an individual students need and development are met
To undertake exam invigilation and facilitate other special arrangements e.g. scribing for examinations
To be aware and supportive of students with medical needs e.g. diabetes, epilepsy and also assist students with mobility issues around the college site and, where required, to provide personal care in line with individual student needs
